Jamie Laing is an entrepreneur, presenter, and media personality, who rose to fame for his role in Made in Chelsea. As a charismatic figure on television, Jamie has built a successful career in entertainment and the business world.
He is the co-founder of the fastest-growing confectionary company in Europe, Candy Kittens, and of podcast production company JamPot Productions. Under JamPot, he hosts the podcasts – NewlyWeds alongside wife Sophie, and Great Company.
He is the host of a prime BBC Radio 1 show, has competed on Strictly Come Dancing, and has partnered with brands including Burberry, CeraVe, and Spotify.
Jamie Laing burst onto our screens in the second series of the E4 show Made in Chelsea (2011).
A media personality, Jamie has appeared on 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown (2016-17), Celebrity Hunted (2017), The Great Stand Up to Cancer Bake Off (2018), Richard Osman’s House of Games (2021), Celebrity Hunted (2017), The Crystal Maze (2018), Lorraine (2018-21), and The Traitors: Unlocked (2025).
In 2019, he was named as one of the celebrities to star in the 17th series of BBC show Strictly Come Dancing, however a foot injury forced him to withdraw two days before the launch show. But he was allowed to return in 2020, where, partnered with professional dancer Karen Hauer, he made it all the way to the final.
He has presented the documentary Famous and Fighting Crime (2018) which followed him as he became a volunteer police officer in Peterborough, and Famous, Rich, and Hungry (2014), where he tried to untangle the complicated reasons that lie behind Britain’s hunger crisis.
He has had small acting roles in Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie (2016), Drunk History (2016-17), and Hollyoaks (2017).

In 2021, he released his autobiography I Can Explain, which explored his battles with anxiety, and emphasising the significance of friendships.
As the great-great-grandson of Sir Alexander Grant, the creator of the McVitie’s Digestive Biscuit, entrepreneurship was always going to come calling.
In 2012, he co-founded Candy Kittens, the fastest-growing confectionery company in Europe at the time, which specialises in vegetarian and vegan sweets. Candy Kittens is known for its sustainability and unique flavours, and Jamie often shares his passion for sweets online to his 3 million social media followers.
Jamie and co-founder Ed were named in the Forbes 30 Under 30 in 2017, with the business hitting over £12m in 2023.
Jamie is an ambassador for Young Minds, a charity dedicated to improving the mental health of young children. He is also an advocate for ADHD suffers.
He has done a lot of fundraising for Comic Relief over the years, and in 2025 he completed the ultimate fundraising challenge: running 150 miles from London to Salford. Jamie ran the equivalent of five ultramarathons over five consecutive days and raised a staggering £2.2 million.
Jamie has worked with a range of brands as an ambassador, collaborating with Adobe, Hilton, L’Oreal, Sky, Spotify, and Warner Bros. He has recently spoken about business and entertainment at IAB’s flagship event about building personal brands. He has also hosted the red carpet for the world premiere of Wonka and spoken at Capgemini’s National Apprenticeship Week event.
