More About Georgia Lewis Anderson

With a background in journalism and broadcasting, and over a decade shaping human-machine interactions, means Georgia Lewis Anderson can explain complex topics like a human. She is regularly invited to speak on global stages from Asia to MIT, on practical AI applications, prompt engineering, and the deeper questions around how this technology is reshaping the way we think, work, and communicate.

Her professional journey began at Microsoft, where she played a pivotal role in developing the British personality for Cortana. This led to her recruitment by Google, where she was instrumental in launching the Google Assistant in the UK.

Transitioning to a consultancy role, she continued to innovate, leading projects that pushed the boundaries of conversational AI. Her work on “Luna,” a theatrical AI experience for WeTransfer, earned her a prestigious Webby Award, highlighting her ability to merge technology with creative expression.

Georgia advises businesses on implementing agentic AI: what to hand to the machines, what to keep human, and how to get a workforce genuinely using the tools rather than quietly avoiding them.

Problem Definition: If you haven’t got a well-defined problem, then AI isn’t the solution. AI invites us to get granulate on our clarity of thought.

AI as a Cognitive Partner: Georgia teaches workshops that lean into critical thinking – using AI as a thinking partner rather than letting it do the thinking for you.

Intellectual Humility: To be an expert in AI you must remain a beginner; curiosity is a skill to be cultivated.

Words as Tools: Georgia has developed a framework to teach people how to get the most out of AI by using language intentionally.

Beyond her technical achievements, Georgia has made a name for herself in broadcasting. She has been a presenter for major media outlets including Apple Music and the BBC, where her documentary Make Me a Programme on BBC Radio 4 investigated the potential of AI in radio broadcasting.

She then worked as the creator, producer, and host of the YouTube topical show The Fox Problem for Telegraph Hill. This included interviews of Chris Hadfield, Richard E Grant, Daisy Lowe, and Dawn O’Porter.

In 2014 she became one of 12 hosts that launched Apple music’s radio station Beats 1, broadcasting live to over 100 countries, with duties including research, writing, and editing. Georgia has also worked as the producer and presenter of two documentaries on BBC Radio 1/1Extra that looked at the economics behind musicians and the lack of openly homosexual rappers in hip hop.
