Eboni Usoro-Brown is a former English netball player renowned for her defensive prowess and significant contributions to the sport.
At just 20 years old, Eboni Usoro-Brown made her international debut for England in 2008 against Malawi, marking the beginning of an impressive career on the global netball stage.
During her career, Eboni earned 117 caps for England and won two gold, two silver and three bronze medals for her country. However, her electrifying performance at the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games truly defined her legacy.
In one of the most iconic moments in England’s netball history, the team clinched a dramatic last-second victory over Australia, bringing home a historic gold medal and cementing Eboni’s reputation as one of the sport’s greats.
Away from the court, Eboni maintained her career as a lawyer and since retiring, she established herself as a sports pundit, including for Sky Sports and the BBC, as well as a motivational speaker. She documented her amazing postpartum journey back to elite-level competition on social media.
Eboni Usoro-Brown grew up in Surrey She attended Gordon’s School in Surrey. She went to Bristol University with an undergraduate in Law in 2009 and a master’s in Law in 2010. She is now a practicing lawyer at DAC Beachcroft.
Eboni won a Bristol Red, the University’s highest sporting honour.

After her international debut for England in 2008, Eboni quickly established herself as a key defensive player and played a vital role in England’s bronze-medal victory at the 2010 Commonwealth Games. That same year, her exceptional talent earned her a spot in the 2010 World Netball Series, where England secured a strong second-place finish.
Determined to push her career to new heights, Eboni went on to represent England at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, further solidifying her status as a top-tier athlete.

On the domestic scene, Eboni spent two stints at Team Bath, winning four Vitality Netball Superleague titles (2006, 2007, 2009 and 2010) and then captaining the Blue and Gold for six seasons (2016-2021).
In 2020, Eboni was inducted into the England Netball Hall.
Eboni made her final appearance for England at the 2019 Netball World Cup before officially retiring from the sport.
Now transitioning from athlete to broadcaster, Eboni has taken on the role of Sports Presenter, sharing her insights with audiences on major platforms such as the BBC.
