Coleen Nolan made her first on screen appearance with her sisters when she was just eight years old, performing on the It’s Cliff Richard show.

The Nolan’s biggest hit was ‘I’m In the Mood for Dancing’, which reached number 1 in Japan and number 3 in the UK. They had further UK top twenty hits, including ‘Don’t Make Waves’, ‘Chemistry’, and ‘Don’t Love Me Too Hard’ – winning the Tokyo Music Festival with the song ‘Sexy Music’ in 1981.

In 2024, Coleen embarked on her first ever solo tour titled ‘Naked’, travelling to sold out audiences up and down the UK. She has also participated in the National Lottery’s New Years Eve 2024 party.

Coleen’s public status and popularity has seen her make many guest appearances on television shows, including Never Mind the Buzzcocks (2002), All Star Family Fortunes (2008), Celebrity Big Brother (which she won in 2017), Celebrity Flirting Dancing, An Audience With Brian Conley, Celebrity Fit Club (2002), Dancing on Ice (2009), and Celebrity Bake Off.

Alongside her guest appearances, Coleen is also an experienced TV presenter, with credits including Loose Women, This Morning, The Truth About Eternal Youth (2009), and The Secret Guide to Women’s Health (2010). In 2013, she was the agony aunt for ITV’s show The Alan Titchmarsh Show, and took part in ITV’s Give a Pet a Home series in 2015 alongside Amanda Holden.

She has appeared with her sisters on TV shows The Nolans Go Cruising, and At Home With the Nolans – both of which were very popular on Discovery Channel’s Quest Red platform, and on Filthy Rich & Catflap.

Coleen is a very popular figure online, with almost a million followers across social media platforms. In 2022, she launched her own podcast series called Let’s Talk About Grief. On the podcast, she talks to her celebrity friends about their own experiences of death and grief, and how they’ve chosen to remember that person. She has talked about losing a parent, sibling, spouse, finding happiness, finding a purpose, and how to handle the initial blow of losing a loved one. Her guests have included Dr Amir Khan, Dr Alex George, Eamonn Holmes, Candice Brathwaite, and Debbie McGee.

Coleen is as ambitious and determined as ever to continue putting a smile on the faces of her millions of fans. She has been a face of the brand Always Discreet since 2025, featured in television adverts for supermarket chain Iceland, and was the face of Park Christmas Savings.

Sadly, two of Coleen’s sisters – Bernie and Linda – have died from breast cancer, and so she is now a passionate advocate for the cause and has appeared on programmes such as The Real Full Monty: Ladies’ Night (2018).
