Chris McCausland

Chris McCausland has spent the past two decades establishing himself as one of the UK’s most popular stand-up comedians, becoming a familiar face across British TV.

A firm favourite on flagship comedy shows, he has appeared on programmes such as Have I Got News For You, QI, Would I Lie To You, The Last Leg, and 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. He has also made three appearances on Live at the Apollo, including taking on hosting duties in the same year he bade his debut at the Royal Variety Performance.

In 2024, Chris became the first blind person to appear on Strictly Come Dancing; initially calling themselves the “Winning Isn’t Everything” team, Chris won the show alongside professional dancer Dianne Buswell. The duo now host a podcast together titled Winning Isn’t Everything.

Whilst born sighted, Chris has lost his sight gradually due to the genetic condition Retinitis Pigmentosa and he is now completely blind.
