Celya AB was born and brought up in Paris in a French-Algerian family, before she moved to Birmingham, UK in 2014. She discovered stand-up on a trip back to Paris and then did her first gig in Birmingham. She made her stand-up debut at Sutton Coldfield’s Comedy Junction in 2017.
Celya won the Chortle Best Newcomer in 2022 and was a Funny Women finalist. She has left her mark on notable shows such as Live at the Apollo and Off Menu With Ed Gamble and James Acaster.

Her rising popularity is evident in her expanding fan base, providing her with opportunities to support renowned figures like US comic Maria Bamford and acclaimed musician St Vincent during their recent UK tours. online, her stand-up clips have amassed millions of views on both TikTok and Instagram.
