An expert in operational efficiency for social impact companies, NGOs, and B Corps, with over 20 years of experience working for companies including Google, Reckitt, ITE, and Saatchi & Saatchi.
Cara now helps purpose-driven organisations to balance their social and financial goals, boost productivity, and grow sustainably. As the founder of Softer Success®, she created the ‘Walk Through the Forest’ tool – a 90 second assessment developed with leading universities to diagnose inefficiencies.
Throughout her work, she focusses on social impact, AI angst, conflict resolution, AI anxiety, sustainability, human sustainability, emotional intelligence, creative thinking, and critical thinking.
She is a published author, podcast host, and keynote speaker who brings deep insight, clarity, and humanity to the stage.
Cara de Lange is a leadership mindset coach and business advisor who has provided support for the Sydney Organisation Committee for the Olympic Games, Dockers Europe in the Netherlands, Jones Lang Laselle in New Zealand, LOVESPACE, and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.
She is currently an Associate Member of the Harvard University Human Flourishing Network, where she collaborates on research projects and stays up to date on global human flourishing programs.

– Imperial College London: a research paper on climate and eco anxiety in the workplace
– King’s College London: a qualitative research project to investigate why wellbeing needs to be a business goal, and how founders and leaders can sidestep burnout

– Sheffield University: introduced ‘moral injury’ and ‘moral resilience’ into a business context

In 2018, she founded Softer Success®, and now works as a consultant in operational efficiency, project management, and strategic transformation. She helps to streamline operations to make more profit by conducting a company audit, demonstrating where companies are not being efficient, where they’re losing money, and then provide a plan to give new energy into the organisation.
In 2019, she published Softer Success: Prevent Burnout, Find Balance, and Redefine Your Success, where she provides a unique and effective new approach to help women become more powerful by using a softer approach. She is also the host of the Work Reseat Revolution Podcast, where she explores radical changes needed in workplace habits to ensure long-term success.
