Brenda Emmanus OBE has had a long and consistent career on national television, interviewing guests from the general public to world-renowned celebrities.
Her warm nature and versatile style has seen her switch comfortably between broadcasters and genres, from the BBC, Sky, Chane 4, and ITV, covering fashion, lifestyle, and the arts.
Her list of impressive interviewees include Angelia Jolie, Clint Eastwood, Daniel Craig, Oprah Winfrey, Robert Redford, Sir Elton John, and Will Smith
She is best known for being one of the main presenters on the BBC fashion programme The Clothes Show (1993-96) which gained over 10 million viewers!
In 2019, Brenda was awarded an OBE for services to broadcasting and diversity. She also holds an honorary doctorate from the University of the Arts, a Community Honours Award at the House of Lords, a Baton Award for mentoring and inspiring other media professionals, and a Legacy Community Award.

She has featured in TV mini-series and movies including Anne: The Princess Royal at 70 (2020), and Royal Wedding Watch (2018); made guest appearances on I Love a 1970’s Christmas (2000), I Love 1980’s (2001), When Muscles Ruled the World (2002), and Cash in the Celebrity Attic (2008).
She has presented What Do Artists Do All Day (2019), Britain’s Hidden Art History (2018), and Front Row Late (2017); worked as the fashion presenter for This Morning (1999-2000), and spent almost a decade working as the entertainment correspondent for BBC London News (2007-2016).
She has appeared on the radio presenting Radio 2’s ‘The Early Show’ and ‘Megamix’ for the BBC World Service, as well as freelancing for BBC Radio 4, 5 Live, and Choice FM.

Outside of her broadcasting work, Brenda is a popular event host, presenter, and speaker for corporate events including the British Film Institute, The WOW Festival, The National Theatre, The Powerlist, The Art Fund, Sadlers Wells Theatre, and Frieze Art Fair.
She has been the co-host for the Screen Nation Film and Television Awards in 2003, 2015, and 2016; and has hosted the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition in 2017, 2019, and 2021.
She is a keen supporter of charities and the arts, and is the Chair of the Board of Trustees for Sir Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures Dance Company, is Patron of the Black Women’s Network, sits on the Board of Action for Diversity and Development, and is a founding member of the Creative Industries Alliance. She is also frequently asked to be a judge for a number of prizes such as Museum of the Year, The Visionary Honours Awards, the Stroke Association’s Creative Arts Awards, and The Jack Petchey Foundation’s Glee and Speak Out Competition.
