Beatrice Kabutakapua is an inspiring keynote speaker, trainer, and storyteller who speaks on various topics, including leadership and storytelling.
She has always been interested in communications, and she holds qualifications in literature, music, and performing arts from Sapienza Università di Roma, a Master’s in international journalism from Cardiff University, an MSc in social research method from the University of Sussex, and a certificate from Harvard University’s ‘public narrative: leadership, storytelling, and action’ program.
After graduating, she became an executive producer and journalist for (IN)VISIBLE CITIES, based in Rome, where she researched and interviewed migrants worldwide, creating documentary content that was then transformed into accessible training. This interest in migrant relations led her to co-found Balobeshayi in 2016, where she connected media specialists, creatives, and migration researchers to creative migrant-related social impact projects.
Her work in journalism and communications means she is highly skilled at training people to tell better stories, even if they have never done it before, to enhance communication and inspire.
She has been featured on the BBC World Service, talkRADIO, Startups Magazine, AD Week, and The Metro. She even hosts her own podcast, Thank God It’s Monday, which provides information on how business storytelling can be implemented in the workplace.
Beatrice is working on her first book, Lead With Your Story: How to Turn Your Lived Experience Into Your Leadership Superpower. It is aimed at leaders who struggle to call themselves leaders and/or who haven’t been historically represented in leadership roles.
