Andrew Scott has built, acquired, and/or exited 10+ companies. In 2023, he sold his high-profile media company, Business Leader, to Richard Harpin, the tycoon who built and sold Homeserve PLC for £4.1 billion.

Having already mentored over 1,000 entrepreneurs, he is now on a mission to help many achieve massive success. As chairman and CEO of the Ascot Group, he has scaled three start-up ventures into seven-figure companies, generating over £70m in revenue while building a multi-million property portfolio.

Along the way, Andrew has experienced some great business successes and some failures. In 2004, he lost everything, ending up in a small flat with £116,000 in credit card debt and an old car with 250,000 miles on the clock.

Refusing to give up, Andrew soon bounced back, launching the business and growth consultancy, Purplex. Twenty years later, it is a global marketing agency and part of Andrew’s Ascot Group, employing nearly 100 people.

Over the next three years, he clocked up even more miles in his trusted BMW, before it finally gave out and was taken away for scrap.

In a near-cinematic twist, nearly two decades later, Andrew spotted the car still on the roads, now driven by a retired construction worker. After months of negotiation, Andrew bought it back for £3,000 – ten times its worth.

With 335,000 miles on the clock, Andrew decided to restore the car to its former glory. The vehicle is now an integral part of his mission to inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs.

Andrew uses the car to show that rock bottom can be the foundation for incredible success. The restored car is more than just a symbol of personal achievement – it’s a mobile mentoring station where Andrew transforms lives.

Andrew teaches that failure and setbacks are only moments in time.
