Amy Nickell-Turner is a broadcaster, author, and political commentator with 15 years of experience in the UK media.
Having graduated from Leeds University, Amy began her career as an entertainment reporter before life took an unexpected turn when she found herself single and pregnant at age 24. One son and three years later, she released her first book, Confessions of a Single Mum, which launched her political and social commentary career.
Amy has also hosted events for Coca Cola and the Premier League at the Birmingham NEC. She is used to long live sessions, having hosted Mudpluggers, with the material then streamed over the internet.
She has just what it takes to keep the audience’s attention where others may fall short.
As a writer, Amy specialises in lifestyle and current affairs and is a regular contributor to both national magazine and newspapers.
A trained actress and voice artist, Amy starred in Lion’s Return (Blizzard) playing the role of Tracer.
Outspoken and opinionated, she is also a regular guest on TV programmes such as ITV’s Good Morning Britain and Sky News Sunrise and has appeared on BBC Radio 5Live, Badass Woman’s Hour, Talk Radio and Radio 4 Woman’s Hour.
