British presenter with over 20 years of experience on television and as a corporate presenter in both the UK and USA. His specialist areas of expertise are corporate, commercial, business, and travel programmes, having visited over 130 countries as a leading presenter in the industry.
During his presenting career, Alastair interviewed top names in entertainment, politics and the arts and can ad lib and think on his feet. Alastair brings flair and confidence as a professional host/MC & facilitator. He has worked on numerous events from MC-ing an annual awards dinner at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London, to facilitating & hosting a charity weekend conference (REACH) at the Bristol Marriott.
In his after-dinner talk, ‘Beyond The Port Hole’, Alastair talks about his 16 years at sea heading up the entertainment department of over 90 entertainers on fourteen different cruise ships, including the most famous ocean liners in the world, QE2 and Queen Mary 2.
He offers insight into the cruise industry and takes his audience below decks to discuss the construction, operations, and logistics of a modern liner. Through anecdotes and fun facts, he chats about the people, places and ships that made his career at sea so fascinating.
