Alasdair Beckett-King is an award-winning stand-up comedian, as seen on Comedy Central Live and Mock the Week. He can also be heard on Radio 4’s The News Quiz, The Now Show, and BBC Radio Scotland’s Breaking the News.
With to podcasts and over a quarter of a million YouTube subscribers, Alasdair has created many hit sketches, parodies, and animations for social media.
In 2023, Walker Books published his debut children’s novel Montgomery Bonbon: Murder at the Museum, and the sequel Death at the Lighthouse.
Alasdair Beckett-King is a legendary comedian and writer. The multi-award-winning comic has performed on television and radio shows including 8 Out of 10 Cats, Mock the Week, Comedy Central Live, and The News Quiz.
He has performed stand-up comedy at Glastonbury Festival and Latitude, and had a sell-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. He embarked upon his first UK tour in 2023. He followed this up the following year with a reprise of his sell-out 2022 Fringe show ‘Nevermore’. He has also performed across Europe, from Germany to Sweden, Norway to Romania, and The Netherlands to Spain.
In 2007, he created the adventure games Nelly Cootalot: Spoonbeaks Ahoy! And Nelly Cootalot: The Fowl Fleet, released in 2016. He also write the script for the adventure game Unforeseen Incidents in 2018.

Alasdair is the host of a couple of popular podcasts. Alasdair and Eleanor Read That sees him and Eleanor Morton revisit classic kids’ books. And then Loreman focusses on local legends and obscure curiosities from “days of yore”.
Alasdair is the author of the children’s series Montgomery Bonbon. The books have been translated into several languages, including French, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish, and Polish.
