Award-winning comedian Tim FizHigham is a regular on the corporate circuit. An explorer, world record holder, historian, archaeologist, film director, author and experienced auctioneer, Tim is a well-versed speaker and as hosted at many live events.
Tim is a regular act at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. In 2011, Tim wrote and starred in two series of The Gambler (BBC Radio 4) reflective of his successful Edinburgh Fringe performance of the same year that focused on the ten greatest bets in history. In 2016, he toured the UK with his live version of the show and starred in Channel 4’s Royal family satire, The Windsors. Tim has also presented documentaries for BBC1 and Super Human Challenge for CBBC, where he travelled around the world interviewing people who defy medical science.
Tim has also appeared in Wolfman (2010) alongside Sir Anthony Hopkins, the 2012 comedy-drama Booked Out and the 2010 American supernatural film, Hereafter, starring Matt Damon and directed by Clint Eastwood.
In 2015, Tim hosted a talk at the renowned Moth series in London that broadcast worldwide. He has spoken at countless business and charity lunches including the World Economic Forum in Geneva, the Princes Trust Charity Lunch, and numerous receptions at the UK House of Lords, the London Livery Companies, and London’s Alderman. He has also hosted conferences, diverse exhibitions, and festivals in both the UK and abroad. He has hosted the Earl’s Court Boat Show and the main stage at Camp Bestival with the Wurzles and Suzanne Vega. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and Freeman of the City of London, and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
He is also a world record holder, being the only man to row the English Channel in a bathtub. He has entertained international audiences with his world record attempts some of which include running across deserts in suits of armour, climbing up the outside of the Doha Torch building in Qatar and balancing on chairs on the edge of the Grand Canyon, just to name a few.
Tim has a variety of different speeches, perfect for any after-dinner event. he talks about challenges using his own remarkable experience. Tim got engulfed by a force 7 storm with 2.5-metre waves on his first attempt at crossing the Channel in a copper bath. Despite being hospitalised, he was determined to succeed and managed to complete the gruelling challenge on his second attempt. Tim’s optimistic speech empowers and most importantly inspires others to not be overwhelmed by the challenges and restrictions that face us all. It is also one of the funniest after dinner speeches by one of the country is leading comic talents.
He also offers motivational business talks, combining his own experiences as a stand-up with his passion for the environment as a spokesperson for the UN. Tim runs storytelling workshops to cement and expands the key messages of his motivational speech. From the heads of City Firms in London to the World Economic Forum in Geneva, Tim has made business people and corporate bodies laugh, think and, above all, developed their presentation skills to make them more successful and useful employees.
