Journalist and broadcaster, Paddy O’Connell is the current London Correspondent for the US Public Radio Programmes, The Takeaway and The World. He is a regular face weekend television, with an average of 175 million people viewing his weekly politics show, Weekend World on the BBC World News channel. He also presents Broadcasting House on BBC Radio 4 and is a regular guest presenter on the Jeremy Vine show on BBC Radio 2.
Spending his time between the London and New York, Paddy has been able to cover an array of world news stories and was even in New York as a Wall Street anchor, witnessing the events of 9/11. As a prominent live speaker, Paddy has often appeared on Question Time (BBC1) and is a popular choice at both corporate and public events. He has chaired events from Ohio to Singapore, hosted Eurovision events from London and Oslo, and hosts monthly events at The Frontline Club, a London journalist association.
With his vast broadcasting knowledge and experience, Paddy is a keen and engaging after dinner speaker, recounting his times in America and his work as an international journalist.
