Anjula Mutanda Psychologist Relationship Expert Speaker at Great British Speakers

Anjula has presented many psychological television shows on national TV. As a psychologist, social scientist and mental health expert, Anjula has become a successful careers coach and media consultant with an increasingly international profile.

Her television credits include 50 Ways to Kill Your Lover (entitled How not to Kill your Husband in America), Autopsy –The Last Hours, Man-Up, My Naked Secret, How to Have Sex After Marriage and Family Contract. Anjula contributed as a resident psychologist on many of these shows, offering forensic relationship analysis and guidance for people to overcome their psychological battles.

As a presenter, Anjula co-hosted the series Body Language Secrets and co-anchored Channel 5’s Doctor, Doctor alongside Dr Phil Hammond and Dr Mark Porter. She also offered advice on understanding and overcoming phobias on CITV’s Feel The Fear, presented by Holly Willoughby.

She has also contributed to a variety of documentaries including Dying to be Thin, How Gay Are You? How to Find a Husband, The Truth about Beauty and Celebrity Yo-Yo Dieters. She has also held discussions on ITV’s Tonight programme, Good Morning Britain, Lorraine, BBC Breakfast, The One Show and The Alan Titchmarsh Show. For five years, she was the resident psychologist on ITV`s This Morning.

Anjula has also contributed her expertise to several publications including Reveal, Top Sante, Psychologies, Woman, Take a Break, Cosmopolitan, Fabulous, Grazia and Glamour. She has also written for The Times, Guardian, The Sun, and The Mirror.

She’s a frequent voice on BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour and has had two self-help books published, Celebrity Life Laundry (2007) and How to do Relationships (2013), the latter of which she wrote in association with RELATE, the UK’s top relationship counselling service, for which Anjula is also an ambassador.

As a corporate speaker, she has consulted with PR companies assisting as a specialist expert on their brand campaigns. She has worked alongside the likes of TK Maxx, Garnier, Sure, Sainsbury’s, Kleenex, Tango, Big Yellow, Speedo, California Almonds and Jackpot Joy.

Anjula is a senior practitioner of MBACP status and is a registered member of The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. She has treated clients with post-traumatic stress disorder, anger management issues and those who need relationship guidance.  She also offers cognitive behavioural coaching and as the previous Director of Emotional Intelligence in the Workplace, has experience in workplace psychology, organisation and stress management.
