Alex Beresford is best-known as the charismatic weather presenter on ITV’s Good Morning Britain.
He is also the host of Channel 4’s World's Weirdest Weather and 'Britain's Most Extreme Weather. In 2013, Alex was swiftly flown to America by Channel 4 to document an EF5 Tornado that hit Oklahoma. The documentary, Super Tornado recorded the devastating aftermaths of the disaster.
More recently, Alex began reporting on ITV’s Tonight programme; a show that inspired Alex a lot during the early days of his career on ITV as he used to sneakily watch as Sir Trevor McDonald would record links for the Tonight show, which he hosted over 10years ago.
Alex first started working in television as an Autocue Operator, so has key knowledge of how TV is made.
Alex has a degree in English Studies and Performance Arts and often provides inspirational talks and seminars to students across the country. He was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Philosophy for his contribution in helping young people to better themselves and was chosen as a ‘National Black Role Model’ by the Governments Reach Role Model Programme in 2008.
