About Adam:

Adam studied as a concert violinist, but on sustaining an injury had to “get a proper job” and after a brief dalliance with sales has been in marketing ever since, for the last 10 years specialising in social media.

His background in marketing gives him a very sceptical attitude towards social media and how it is implemented by businesses often asking the question “how do you know” and this pragmatic approach has helped him to deliver some spectacular turnarounds in organisations’ social media success.

In the last decade or so he has worked with organisations of all sizes from micro businesses to household name global megabrands and governments all over the world. He is recognised as an international thought leader on social media strategy and implementation and regularly gives “expert opinion” in the press and on television about social media and its impact on business and society.

Adam is a prolific writer and has contributed to and written hundreds of published articles and white papers and is a sought-after speaker and panellist at corporate and industry events.

In 2013 Pearson published Adam’s first book the bestseller “Brilliant Social Media” which was the first internationally published book about business to business social media, earlier this year it was reprinted for the India market.

Adam has a relaxed and engaging style and his humorous delivery and welcomes questions and interruptions from the audience makes sure that everyone leaves with fresh ideas that they can begin to implement to make a difference.
